From the Michigan DNR:
Upcoming Free Fishing Weekend dates for 2022 are: February 19 & 20 and June 11 & 12. All fishing license fees will be waived for two days. Residents and out-of-state visitors may enjoy fishing on both inland and Great Lakes’ waters for all species of fish. All fishing regulations will still apply. A Recreation Passport will NOT be required for entry into state parks and boating access sites during Free Fishing Weekends.
With the start of the new year, we look forward to the future that we can relax and enjoy some time fishing. With that being said, we have some information to share for those pinching pennies. The 2021 Free Fishing Weekend dates for winter: February 13 & 14 and summer: June 12 & 13. Please enjoy your time. Stay safe and healthy!
